I feel peeved after today, and disappointed at our lack of recent quality of investment, but let's keep our heads up.


We have one real issue in my view - lack of cutting edge at home to open up teams who don't want to be - Wigan (today), Stoke & Wolves are all good examples. This is less of an issue when Modric plays, we need another option in Midfield.

Everyone knew Jamie O'Hara spent a large chuck of last season struggling with a back injury - the midfielder required pain killing injections to play in the FA Cup Final with Portsmouth in what was his last game on loan there. Despite his obvious problems though, the 23-year-old was Portsmouth's stand out player in what was a nightmare campaign for the club.
With that in mind, Spurs fans would have been excited to what he had to offer on his return to White Hart Lane. Sadly, it looks like he won't get the chance to show them any time soon.

A lot has been said over the years about the Glory Nights at White Hart Lane when people talk about Spurs exploits in Europe. Old men will talk with tears in their eyes about the days when a Wednesday night at Tottenham was something really special. The older generation will talk of the strains of Glory, Glory Hallelujah coming from the four sided Tottenham Wall of Sound. Listen to these old men and you will think of something rather magical.

A great defeat was how ‘arry described this in his post match interview and I suppose that is one way of looking at the final scoreline, all things considered. And let’s face it, It could have been a hell of a lot worse.
